Job Description
• To support the Ernest Jones and H.Samuel Online Store Manager in delivering the multi-channel sales plan through driving sales and conversion.
• To support the Online Store Manager in the implementation of online campaigns.
• To support the Online Store Manager in continuously improving the customer online experience and to provide a best in class online experience.
• Implement promotional campaigns for the Ernest Jones and H.Samuel websites.
• Work with Online Store Manager and Buying & Merchandising eCommerce team to update the home page and landing pages in line with the brand promotional calendar and additional online promotions.
• Update merchandising plan.
• Create links and alt tags on promotional slots.
• Update informational pages – Customer Services, terms and conditions, etc.
• Work with content team to ensure creatives meet the brief.
• Support the Online Store Manager in improving customer experience and implementing best practice through the delivery of website developments, enhancements and new features.
• Work with Customer Service team to ensure customers receive a best in class service.
• Act as the point of contact between Customer Services and the Online team, ensuring any customer queries are addressed within a given deadline.
• Produce campaign overview reports to be circulated to Customer Services.
• Monitor online sales performance metrics/KPIs e.g. traffic levels, conversion, site real estate effectiveness, search keywords, etc. Produce weekly report, ad hoc reports and campaign reviews and present to the business.
• Monitor competitor activity, produce reports and communicate to the business.
• Liaise with areas of the business, such as compliance and IT, to ensure website information, promotions and policies comply with laws and regulations, e.g. Trading Standards, Disability Act, Accessibility standards, etc.
• Assist Online Trading team with adhoc projects and tasks, as required.
Candidate Requirements
• Work experience in a consumer-facing industry, such as retail, FMCG, retail financial services, travel. Some online retail/eCommerce experience preferred – if none, must be passionate about online/multi-channel retail and customer experience.
• Degree level educated.
• PC literate.
• Numerate/analytical/comfortable with handling data.
• Excellent verbal/writing skills.
• Team player.
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise own work.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated.
• Ability to work with cross-functional business partners such as Buying and Merchandising, IT and offline marketing.
