The Company:

Our client was one of the top performing FTSE businesses last year, turning over in excess of $15 billion.

They have been through a period of acquisition in recent years to establish a strong portfolio of digital products and brands across a variety of channels. These include digital advertising solutions, social media engagement, e-mail and web analytics. Digital-solutions are the highest performing division within the group.

All divisions run cutting edge technology platforms as well as managed services. This year will see all of these brands brought together for the first time and sold as a full, high value solution to clients.

This will result in a large scale recruitment project being undertaken over the course of 2012.

The priority is to secure a highly dynamic Sales Director to lead this transformation.

The Role:

The successful candidate will have full responsibility for revenue growth and creating a collaborative sales culture for the Digital division. Your brief will be to pull all four businesses together from a sales perspective and establish a succinct structure that benefits the client.

You will lead a sales force of 120 people at various levels, via a direct reporting line of 6/7 senior heads.

This is a major transformation project that needs to address the needs of sales people at both Enterprise and Business Development level. This will include looking at KPI metrics and relevant compensation to ensure a motivated and correctly incentivised team.

The first 90 days in the role will be heavily focused on assessing the landscape and formalising a plan for integration.

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for a hungry and ambitious Sales Director that has a strong understanding of the whole digital landscape, as well as having worked within large corporate environments. You could have worked for a large corporate previously and have moved to a more niche digital organisation in recent years or vice versa.

It is essential you have undertaken business transformation and integration projects, just having dealt with BAU will not be sufficient.

Naturally, you will be an exceptionally strong networker, both internally and externally. You will also be a strong public speaker as will be expected to be the face of our client at key industry events and conferences.
