Duties and Responsibilities
You will have the ability to:
· Win the trust and build relationships with senior client and partner executives (up to Director / CxO level)
· Motivate and lead project/programme teams made up of diverse resources
· Take ownership of successful delivery
· Experience in a number of successful Consulting projects (as Programme Manager / Managing Consultant) and a background that demonstrates creativity, drive and enthusiasm.
· Demonstrable leadership ability and potential
· Demonstrate passion for innovative technologies and how they can be used to deliver business solutions in the utilities sector
· Experience of all stages of the project lifecycle (pre-sales to support and operations)
· Experience of facilitation and consulting
· The ability to deliver change including people, process and systems
· Project management experience including team coaching and mentoring
Travel throughout the UK is an integral part of the job, as you will be primarily working at customer sites and should expect this to be around 80% of your time. Therefore you must be able to drive and be happy to commute or work away from home during the week if the client site is not a commutable distance.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
· 10 years+ experience in energy or water markets
· Detailed understanding in at least 2 areas. Preferred areas would be SCADA/GIS operational control systems, energy trading and smart metering, but other areas would also be considered
· Project management expertise and ability to be credible at senior levels
· High level understanding of major market roles in the industry and how they fit together
· Good understanding of industry governance models
Desirable:
· Pre-sales and bid management experience
· Good network of client contacts is desirable
