Job Description
Are you energetic and passionate about social media, as well as being enthusiastic about home interiors and shopping? Do you have a thorough and strategic understanding of what makes social-networks ‘tick’ and why users interact with them?
We are looking for someone to manage mydeco’s social media marketing to grow brand awareness and traffic. This role is critical as it involves being the ‘champion’ for the mydeco registered members and feeding back their needs and opinions to the mydeco business team. A large part of this role will include moderating forums, managing mydeco’s offsite social media channels (like facebook, twitter, dig, reddit and stumbleupon) and working with mydeco ‘experts’ to create great forum content. You will be the face and voice of mydeco – on and off mydeco.com. You will be responsible for selecting the most compelling daily content, posting it to the mydeco offline followers, and driving traffic our most exciting daily offers, competitions and useful home design content.
You will actively participate in as many relevant online communities, networks and groups as possible creating personal relationships with key home design bloggers, forum experts and moderators.
The sky is the limit... the mydeco community is in its youth and has enormous potential to expand. This role will have an opportunity to take the community in a number of different directions to achieve our business goals. You will be working on a great brand alongside some of the top ‘Web 2.0’ names.
Candidate Requirements
This person will manage their own blog, be enthusiastic and motivated: a real social-media evangelist with a minimum of 3 years experience.
