Job Description

If you want high profile, you’ve come to the right place. It’s no exaggeration to say that our e-commerce team is at the heart of our ongoing success and central to us becoming the number one online insurer. Once upon a time, the majority of our business was generated through our call centres. Today, 80% of all business is online.  And that’s why we want our customer journey to be the best it can be.

While we’re already a top five general insurer, there’s more we can do. So, when it comes to improving our services, our products and how we deliver them, we’re relentless. We always want to know what’s working and what isn’t – and through detailed website performance management, customer surveys and site abandonment analysis you’ll identify what we need to do to make things work better.

You’ll develop and integrate action-based analytics, providing insight and strategic direction into the performance and efficiency of our online channels. Constantly analysing user trends you’ll make recommendations on why and how to make improvements. We’ll look to you to develop and communicate best practice for web metrics and deliver initiatives that improve e-commerce performance in line with our wider online strategy. You’ll also manage key supplier relationships and through performance tracking and optimisation you’ll make sure that we’re able to accurately evaluate the performance of our websites and products.

Candidate Requirements

About you

Analytical doesn’t do you justice. You’re hyper-analytical, with the ability to interpret data, identify and analyse trends and evaluate the online performance and visitor behaviour across digital marketing to sale. You’re skilled in the ways of web analytics trends (e.g. Omniture Site Catalyst, Site Intelligence, Google Analytics) and techniques (e.g. multivariate testing). You know your way about databases, are an advanced user of Excel and VBA and are confident with financial or business reporting.

About us

We’re LV= and we’ve been busy shaking up the world of insurance. We’re the UK’s largest friendly society, with more than 2.5 million customers and a team of over 3,000 people. But we’re not one to rest on laurels, even award-winning ones like ours. By making our e-commerce offering the finest around, by making sure that the customer experience is everything it can be, by promoting our products and services in the right way in the right places, we want to be the number one online insurance firm. Ambitious? Most definitely. To make it happen, we’re looking to grow our already very talented e-commerce team.
