Job Description
Buyagift.com is the UK’s largest gift experience company with over 2500 gifts and experiences and generating turnover in excess of £18million. We have been established for 9 years and employ over 70 people. We are part of a multi million pound international group of gift experience companies. We are entering a new and exciting phase of our growth and we are looking for an accomplished and experienced Website Manager to join our successful marketing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY OBJECTIVES
Driving the Buyagift seasonal marketing plan along with all website collateral
Replicating the plan across all our UK storefronts (currently six)
Working with the Web Content Manager to produce creative and microsites which are both SEO and customer friendly
Website merchandising which includes working with our data analyst and buying team to:
- Define merchandising KPIs – increasing browsers to shoppers conversion
- Seasonal merchandising and website improvements
- Review on site search to suggest new product lines and increase SERP conversion
- Improve conversion by ensuring relevant cross-sells and upsells
- Identify poor performing categories and work with analyst/marketing team to identify issues
- Identify poor performing products to delist or improve by price analysis, product page analysis
- Work with Web Content Manager and Paid Search Analyst to improve conversion and relevance on landing pages, improve Google quality scoring
- Work with CRM Manager to ensure best performing products are included in email marketing and catalogue production
- Identify market leading practices and adopt
You will manage a small team of established key marketing team members
Candidate Requirements
· Five years website experience
· Minimum two years merchandising experience
· Minimum two years people management experience
· Experience working on projects with other departments
· Web analytics knowledge (preferably Coremetrics and Google Analytics)
· Proficient with using Microsoft Office particularly Excel
· Analytical and data driven
· Strong business writing skills: produces high quality documents
· Demonstrates a structured and methodical way of working
· Exhibits a high level of attention to detail
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Strong customer telephone and face to face skills
· A confident and articulate presenter
