DBD Media (www.dbdmedia.co.uk), the search and social media agency for brands like IPC Media, De Vere Hotels and Sofa.com, has launched a fully integrated ‘Conversion Rate Optimisation’ (CRO) service aimed at maximising clients’ website revenue from paid, natural and social media traffic.
The new service focuses on enhancing conversion rate whilst reducing bounce rate from landing pages, product pages and home pages. The service also increases conversion rate throughout the whole conversion funnel and particularly targets shopping basket optimisation – an area where the largest gains are often found. DBD Media’s research into shopping basket abandonment, based on analytics reviews of retail and travel websites, found that over eight out of 10 consumers abandon an online shopping basket without ever completing the transaction.
DBD Media’s new CRO service blends softer design and usability skills with hard analytics data to convert social media, SEO and PPC-driven traffic into increased sales and revenue. It will be incorporated into all SEO, PPC and Social Media projects at the agency, and has already been rolled out across a number of key clients.

DBD Media has hired Axelle Ros from one of the UK’s three specialist conversion rate optimisation agencies, House of Kaizen, to head the CRO department as Conversion Analytics Consultant. She has helped in developing a proprietary testing and improvement methodology that identifies website issues quickly, and builds alternative solutions without requiring significant website recoding. All recommendations on website changes are based on robust testing methodologies and data analysis. She is also responsible for the agencies Web Analytics department, which provides customised implementations, consultancy and training in Google Analytics
The move to launch a CRO service further extends DBD Media’s service to actively helping convert website visitors into increased sales and revenue for clients, and further differentiates the agency from those that remain focused purely on driving website traffic through search.
