22 January 2013, London -- Econsultancy has today announced a new report which explores what the sales organization of the future will look like. The report looks into four major questions which companies looking to reinvent their sales processes need to address.
Written by Minter Dial (President of The Myndset Company and a professional speaker and consultant specialized in brand strategy and digital marketing) and Eric Mellet (Sales & Education Development & Training Director) The Sales Organization of the Future is essential reading for brands and salespeople looking at how the proliferation of information and the diversity of communication channels is set to impact the sales function and individual job roles.
The four areas explored are:
--How to transform a product-oriented company into a value-added services company
--How to reduce the sales force and render salespeople to be more effective and efficient
--Where and how to influence most effectively customers
--What are the right technologies to be embedding into the sales process?
Report co-author Minter Dial said: “Sales is an old fashioned profession, and there will always be a need for superior attitude, skills and knowledge, as well as process in the act of sales. However, the arrival of the internet coincides with fundamental paradigm shifts that are altering business.”
Dial continued: “In the new form of marketing required for today's customer set, I tend to refer to the 5 Es of the new marketing (emotion, engagement, experience, exchange and essence) and the salesperson is ideally able to transmit/promote these values. The issue is getting the entire company/brand to learn to function as a unit, and this report will address that need.”
