Have no mistake, this is a sea change.

Personally, I bought my iPad as a toy and have ended up using it for business and shopping. My laptop is nearly redundant.

Great infograph, I wonder what will be next though. As technology is evolving so rapidly, I'm pretty sure we will soon be optimizing our marketing and websites for Google Glasses and derivatives.

I use my PC/Laptop for (ergonomic) gaming and editing photos.

I'm analysing traffic by device on a regular basis for my clients and always recommend creating a mobile version of their site or at least ensuring their site functions effectively on mobile devices where they get a significant level of traffic from them. If they're getting the traffic already they should definitely be looking to give that traffic the chance of converting by ensuring their site is suitable. It's also impacted how I structure my AdWords accounts in a huge way. I used to wait to see if there was much traffic from tablets before setting up specific campaigns for them but now I set them up as standard at the start of a project. The CPC is generally a lot lower and I've seen great results with it.

Retailers, brands and marketers can leverage shoppers' tablet use by sending them customized messaging, engaging them, learning what they want to buy, guiding the purchase decision, and closing the sale #SoLoMo
