The Australian Affiliate Marketing Benchmarking Survey was released by dgmAustralia last week, revealing that affiliate marketing is on the rise amongst Australian retailers.

The report examines the current engagement and intentions of Australian companies utlilising affiliate marketing, as well as revealing marked differences in usage and approaches across the market.

The report indicated that Australia is still in its infancy and needs to pick up the pace if it wants to compete globally in this area, as only 4% of top 25 local retailers currently use affiliate marketing. This is in direct comparison to the US and UK where 100% of the top retailers are using this channel.

Additionally, 82% of the finance sector and 76% of retailers use the affiliate channel - and positively, most plan to increase their spend on affiliate marketing in the coming year.

This infographic presents some of the other key findings from the survey.
