E-consultancy is opening up an office in New York and we’re on the lookout for an amazing editor, to help produce some brilliant US-flavoured content.

We already have tens of thousands of registered users from the US and figured that it was about time to put down a footprint across the Atlantic, to support our existing subscribers and hopefully add a few more. Note to NYC: recession or no recession, we're coming.

The role of editor (US) is an important one and will encompass blogging, interviews, events coverage and helping our analysts with US-specific research. The editor will be encouraged to participate widely in the internet community, both online and offline.

This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody who is passionate about the internet, who understands the pressing issues and key trends in e-commerce and online marketing, who is as excited as we are about the future of digital, and who can steer E-consultancy to further glory, kudos, acclaim, etc.

The role would best suit a journalist with a background in the internet marketing press, but we’ll consider anybody with a black book of contacts and legion of Twitter followers (so long as they have first rate writing skills and bags of desire).

If you are interested in applying, or know somebody who might be, then please send a persuasive email to me to explain your suitability for the job, plus any relevant URLs and an up-to-date resume (or a CV, if you’re an Englishman in New York). More details on the position can be found here.

Alternatively, leave your suggestions below as to who you rate in this space, and we will add the best recommendations to our shortlist.
