ClickThrough Marketing has released a paid search keywords report for the finance sector, focusing on loans. It provides details on a number of searches for a range of keyphrases.

The report focuses on data from Yahoo UK searches for July 2006, and contains search engine key phrase data on 25 key types of loans including secured loans, unsecured loans, homeowner loans and personal loans.

In July, there were over five million searches for the top 10 loan-related searches, with ‘home loan’ the most popular query, with more than 1.5 million searches on Yahoo.

The report highlights some niche opportunities for marketers, with several phrases in the report having good search figures, but fewer competitors. Such keywords with lower cost per click could be a good opportunity for advertisers.

E-consultancy will be releasing an incredibly comprehensive Best Practice Guide for Paid Search in the next week or so. Keep your eyes peeled.
