This month’s round-up of brilliant branded Instagram videos comes bearing an exciting new upgrade.

Last week Instagram introduced a new standalone time-lapse video tool called Hyperlapse, which is actually quite brilliant. I wrote about it in greater detail here: Instagram’s Hyperlapse: social video toy for brands

It’s very early days yet but it will be interesting to see how quickly brands begin using the tool and how many different creative ways time-lapse can be used.

In the meantime, here’s a breakneck Hyperlapse trip around the Econsultancy office…

Oreo excelled itself in August with this tasty little creation. In 15 seconds you get a brilliant gift idea, showcases its new MiniDelivery service and makes you really want one of those tiny fork-lift trucks.

Samsung Mobile

Here’s a cracking effort from Samusing beautifully showing off the immersive qualities of Marvel’s Comics App via the Galaxy tablet.

Check out how Marvel is revolutionising the comic book industry with digital.

Bath and Bodyworks

Bath and Bodyworks makes its first entry into the round-up with this simple yet colourful number. Bath and Bofyworks' Instagram profile is a feast of bright, bold sassiness so worth investigating further..

National Geographic

The always fascinating National Geographic channel uploaded its first Hyperlapse video this week. Here are the bustling crowds at the Minnesota State Fair.

And here’s a complete contrast, a beautiful, relaxing time-lapse of a Sardinian sunset.

Ford used the Hyperlapse app to highlight its Active Park Assist. Perhaps this will be the tool’s most useful application, showing full demonstrations that would normally take longer than the real-time 15 second limit.

Red Bull

Hold on to your lunch and for goodness sake please extinguish all cigarettes, this one gets a little bumpy...

It is of course impossible to present only one Red Bull Instagram video, being as so many are deliriously entertaining.

And not to be outdone, here’s GoPro’s latest sick(making) effort.

Read more about GoPro’s dazzling social strategy here.

MINI follows up its excellent #asktheNEWMINI series with a new suitably quirky campaign: A Passenger’s Guide to the MINI Countryman.

Check out more from MINI’s social strategy here.

Rocking the time-lapse weeks before the advent of Hyperlapse.

Mr Porter

One of the most beautifully shot and well-edited ice bucket challenges you’ll see. Great soundtrack choice too.

Instagram’s communications manager Will Guyatt will be speaking at our Festival of Marketing. Join us for in November for a two day celebration of the modern marketing industry, featuring speakers from brands including LEGO, Tesco, Barclays, FT.com and more.
