Once again we compile the most senior, surprising and influential job moves in the UK from the past seven days.

This time we cover appointments at AOL Advertising Group and ZenithOptimedia, and a surprising departure from Trinity Mirror.


AOL Advertising Group is set to appoint Neil Jones as vice president of commercial. Jones, who was formerly MD at Carat, takes a full-time roll after working as a consultant.

The Advertising Association has appointed Cilla Snowball as its first ever female chairman. Snowball is currently the group chairman and group chief executive of Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO.

Blue Hive has appointed Karin Onsager-Birch as its executive creative director. Onsager-Birch joins Blue Hive, which is WPP’s dedicated agency for Ford, from Goodby, Silverstein and Partners.

ZenithOptimedia has hired Sean Healy to be its global planning director. Healy joins from Walker Media.

Posterscope, the Aegis Media-owned outdoor media specialist, has appointed Helen Keable to the newly created role of commercial communications director.

Sly Bailey has stepped down as CEO of Trinity Mirror after 10 years at the helm of the publisher. She is expected to leave at the end of the year.
