Mobile app review: Flickr on iPhone

The Flickr iPhone app was released this week, with many of the features that are available on the main site,  browsing photos as well as uploading and tagging photos taken on the phone.

We use Flickr for hosting the photos used on this blog, and to upload iPhone screenshots I've had the option of uploading via email, or plugging the phone into the laptop and uploading this way, which can take some time.

I'm hoping that the app can make this process a little easier...

The social media statistics I posted a few weeks ago seemed to strike a chord amongst the digital community, especially in highlighting just how big an issue this particular area of online currently is. So I’m happy to say that I’ve trawled around the internet to bring you some more snippets of useful data and awesome figures. 


Should more charities be making use of Twitter?

Dog's TrustA Twitter account is free to set up, and keeping it updated doesn't need to take too much time and effort, so some charities are now making to use the site for fundraising and increasing awareness of their causes.

In the UK, I have found Twitter accounts for Oxfam, War Child, Greenpeace, though there may be others. One charity making excellent use of Twitter for promoting its cause is Dog's Trust.
