House of Fraser: mobile site review

Department store retailer House of Fraser has added another element to its multichannel strategy with a new mobile website, which has been optimised for a range of devices.

The mobile site has been developed by Usablenet, also behind the mobile sites of Tesco, M&S and John Lewis.

I've been trying the new mobile site...

Tesco Direct: mobile site review

Tesco launched a mobile version of its Direct site this week, which features the retailer's non-food range.

The launch comes in response to growing levels of traffic from mobile phones to Tesco Direct. Mobile visits have increased by 300% in the last year.

ASOS: mobile site review

Fashion retailer ASOS launched a mobile site recently, just in time for the Christmas shopping season.

Like M&S and John Lewis, ASOS has opted for a site rather than an app to broaden its reach on mobile, and in response to the number of visits and orders from mobile users.

Mobile site review: The Independent

The Independent launched a new mobile website last week. According to the newspaper, the site aims to offer a 'faster, simplified version of its news for users on the move'

A number of newspapers, including The Guardian and FT.com, have launched or revamped their mobile sites this year, so how does the Indie's offering compare?

Mobile site review: Interflora

Flower retailer Interflora has just launched a transactional mobile site, offering a limited range of the flowers and gifts that are available on the desktop website.

It's a product which should be well suited to mobile, as it offers shoppers a chance to but last minute gifts when they cannot get to either a shop or a computer.

Mobile site review: FT.com

FT.com has been giving its mobile site a makeover, launching a new version which matches the pink look of the website, and has also been optimised for smartphone users.

I looked at a few mobile newspaper sites recently, and haven't been all that impressed so far, especially with those from UK publishers, so how well does FT.com translate to mobile?
