Affiliate marketing network has announced its first acquisition, online lead generation provider Lightstate.

Lightstate, founded by entrepreneur Shakil Khan, uses its partnerships with financial sites, comparison sites and portals to collect consumer information. Advertisers can then use this information to advise customers on the products that suit their needs.

Lightstate will be renamed leads and will operate as a subsidiary of the company, with its technology also being integrated. CEO Kevin Cornils said:

“This acquisition will make us the market leader in technology for lead generation, giving us more choice of products to offer to merchants and affiliates. It also enhances our relationships.”

Founded in 2002, has partnerships with 200 brands, including the AA, Egg and M&S. 

Its network has a total of 6,000 affiliates.
