Econsultancy client case study: fashion retailerThe Challenge

Our client is a leading fashion retailer with a footprint in US, Europe and Asia. They have a proven track record in developing talent with Leadership Development and Digital Excellence programmes well established. The challenge was to extend this offering to accelerate capability in modern marketing craft skills with a diverse group of marketers with different qualifications, experiences and capabilities.

What We Did

We developed the Marketing Excellence Programme aimed at two key audiences. The focus for phase one was the ‘Activating with Excellence’ pillar. Its objectives were to build fundamental marketing craft skills such as Powerful Briefs and Briefing, Unlocking Insights and Amazing Project Management for developing marketers.

The second pillar, ‘Setting the Direction’, was aimed at a more senior audience to enhance strategic capability and embed a common best practice approach. The programme was deployed through a series of immersive instructor-led half day workshops delivered in the UK and Germany. The workshops were part of a multi-channel learning approach that also included lunch and learn sessions and Marketing Week Mini MBAs with Professor Mark Ritson.

The Results

The Marketing Excellence Programme was launched in April 2018 and so far six cohorts have gone through the programme. Results have been extremely positive with the average overall workshop evaluation scores of 4.6 / 5 and 96% of scores rated as ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’.
