Web Usability Partnership is a user experience research consultancy business, established in 2002. We are customer - not technology - led. We deliver more than just reports - our approach ensures research gets turned into action.
We help to achieve our clients' aims for their sites and make their sites more effective. We combine rigorous usability research with a process to generate agreed and actionable results quickly and cost effectively. Our approach is:

Research shows that most web sites are not easy to use. When a user fails to achieve their goals they have a bad experience and are unlikely to return or recommend the site. Only by putting the user at the centre of all decision making, can you be sure users will have a good experience on your site.
All decisions (e.g. deciding site strategy, developing information architecture, writing content etc.) should be informed by user evidence. If you are disagreeing about an aspect of your site it means you don't have a shared understanding of how users will behave. We involve users in all projects to provide user evidence and ensure decision making is user focused.
Knowing the problems is only part of the answer. Identifying the right actions and getting them implemented is the difficult bit. Just writing a report will often fail to bring about action because people don't accept the results, or recommendations don’t fit the client context.
We involve key people from the client in the research process – those people who influence making things happen. We facilitate the process of shared 'sense-making'. This enables the development team to take ownership of the research results, develop a collective view of the issues to be addressed, and agree actions appropriate to the client organisation. We believe that this approach enables the delivery of actionable results.
We look at your web site as part of your 'bigger' strategic picture. What are your aims for the site? Are these being delivered? Which user goals should you support?
We see it as our role is to challenge clients' views about user goals & behaviours and appropriate research methodologies (including usability testing), to ensure all projects meet our clients' objectives and provide value for money - we won't undertake a project if we disagree with the proposed approach.
