Mark Adams is the newly appointed Senior Vice President, Innovation at VICE UK, responsible for working with brands to deliver bespoke content strands that engage a savvy youth audience. VICE was launched in 1994 as a ‘punk zine’ and has since expanded into a global youth media company and content studio with offices in over 30 countries. VICE operates the world’s premier original online video destination, VICE.COM, an international network of digital channels, a television production studio, a magazine, a record label, a book-publishing division and an in-house creative services agency.

Tom has a background in web development, a degree in Computer Science, and has published a number of peer-reviewed papers on his way to a PhD in AI (thesis in progress!).  He works on a variety of secret projects at Distilled, from developing novel forms of reporting to trying to predict which new technologies will be impact the search industry.

Mark Brill has been working in digital channels since 1994 – the earliest days of the web. Since 2003 he has been a mobile specialist, delivering platforms for messaging, content, payment and apps. Mark’s particular focus is on brand strategy in mobile and emerging channels. He now divides his time between lecturing in Future Media and as a consultant on innovation strategy, especially around next generation devices and the Internet of Things.

Mark has chaired the DMA Mobile and Connected Marketing Council and is a regular commentator on emerging channels in the media, including The Guardian and BBC News.

Previous to this position, Ben has played an instrumental role in leading the marketing strategies and ensuring the success of some of the UK’s fastest growing and most disruptive digital brands, including Betfair and Setanta Sports. His most recent role was as Marketing Director for notonthehightstreet.com, where he drove growth, concentrating both on commercial and trade marketing strategies, establishing the brand as a lynchpin of the online retail landscape.

Max Dawes was one of Zappar’s first employees back in the heady days of 2012. Zappar now have offices in London, San Fransisco and Sydney with an ever expanding team, currently about 30. Max has the important sounding job title of Partnerships & Marketing Director.

He works with Zappar’s global clients such as Rovio, NBCUniversal, PEZ and City Football Group on how they can utilise augmented reality and virtual reality across their sales and marketing strategies.

In addition to this Max and his team help agencies and developers harness the power of AR & VR for themselves through ZapWorks, Zappar’s self-serve content creation tools.

Prior to Zappar Max was an ad man, a PR spiv, and a music biz high-roller (or at least he like to think so).

Emily founded Seenit in January 2014 after spending four years in the film industry. It was when she was producing one of her own films that she discovered the power of collaborative storytelling. They’re now a team of 15, based in Soho, and powering videos for clients such as The BBC, Team GB, Red Bull Racing, Vodafone and The Body Shop.

Loarridge has been a leader in the software industry for nearly 30 years, almost exclusively in marketing solutions.  He has extensive experience in Internet relationship management, identity, personalisation, CRM and vertical markets, including Retail, eCommerce, Finance, Telco and Consumer Brands. 

Prior to joining Janrain, he worked with Bazaarvoice as their VP International Sales and before that grew and sold a VC backed infrastructure company called Exor to Bentley Inc. working as their Global VP Sales and Marketing. At Lagan we grew a business based on CRM (Citizen Relationship Management) and subsequently sold the business to Kana.  Running a NASDAQ listed Web based CRM provider called Firstwave Technologies Inc. he served as VP Europe with full P&L responsibility increasing revenues threefold and closing business with clients like the DWP, Argos and Nationwide.  

He is a qualified Rugby coach and referee and has the dubious pleasure of coaching the Wellington RFC U14's, to glory and success.

With 23 years experience in financial services, Lisa has held roles across a number of marketing disciplines, including building propositions, brand development and acquisition marketing.  Before moving to Atom, Lisa was Head of Marketing at first direct, responsible for refreshing their brand positioning and creating the “Barry the Platypus” campaign to re-engage a younger target audience.
