Overview

Bringing together those leading digital teams for a morning of insight and discussion to provide:

-       Insight from those at the forefront of transformation

-       Best practice advice and the latest trends we’re seeing

-       Networking and discussions from two roundtables

Many organisations are contemplating how to digitally transform themselves and many are wondering how to be more strategic in the management of their digital content. Fewer are managing to join these together in an effective and innovative way - making content strategy transformative.

Centring on the key elements of an effective content strategy, Mike Baxter and Ben Salmon, two of our leading consultants, will present insights from our recent research, while the two roundtable sessions will provide you with the chance to hear from your peers and discuss your own successes and challenges.

Format on the day

Insight and best practice advice

First session: Making content transformative

Your content marketing efforts should go beyond your wonderful engaging content that evokes emotions, but do you have the right elements in place to ensure you're looking at the whole picture and not just singular campaigns?

This session will look at:

Strategy: Maximising the value of content

Distinguish between your stock and flow content; between your bonfire content and your firework content; between your message-focused content and your message-amplifying content. Set out to measure your content in relevant ways.

Planning: Liberate content processes and content tools

Have a simple, easily-understood framework to describe the content management process in your organisation and inspiring examples at each stage in the process of how improvements could be transformative.

Governance: Empowering content management

What content governance would your organisation need to be able to tweet at Oreo-speed in response to the power-cut at the Superbowl?  Would a 70: 20: 10 rule be as empowering in your organisation as it was at the BBC?

Roundtable

Second session: The fog of measurement

Every brand is dealing with a deluge of data alongside a need to better justify marketing activity and return on investment, but doing that succesfully is a challenge.

This session will look at:

- Defining success

- Reviewing common measurement challenges

- Understanding the data we have at our hands

- Creating a common currency for measurement

- Understand the measurement audience

- Describing the reporting levels and what's important

Roundtable

With two roundtable sessions during the morning, you'll get the chance to meet numerous contacts in the same position as you. These sessions give you the chance to see how others are managing their challenges and the strategies other organisation are adopting as they transform.
