UPDATE! Now taking bookings for London to Brighton stage on 9 October. Join us for an epic day in the saddle!

We'll set off en masse from The Mall (where else) and head down to Putney from where you go at your own pace. Lunch at a gastro pub breaks the journey, and then its onto Brighton and drinks by the sea.

If you're looking for something to take you that little bit further, why not carrying onto Paris? From 9-11 October, this is the Marketing Cycle - our industry's very own not-for-profit / social / networking / sporting event.

It's your opportunity (er, excuse?) to get a few days on the road with clients, colleagues, contacts and marketing friends.

With 230 miles to cover in three days it's a challenge for anyone. But above all it's about marketers getting together: the camaraderie, enjoying the ride, stunning landscapes, and catching up over a few glasses of wine in the evenings.

We're also planning a couple of training rides and socials before the ride itself, so you can get as involved as you want to. Keep your eye out for announcements about these dates and other good stuff in the works.

Who's behind it?

As Marketing WeekEconsultancy and the Festival of Marketing, we at Centaur Marketing frequently bring the marketing community together and love the buzz that's created when it happens. So why not add bikes?

We're working with the brilliant Ride25 team who have devised the route, arranged accommodation and meals, and who will also take care of everything you need in the run up to the event.

Who's coming?

The Marketing Cycle is open to everyone from the marketing industry, and so far is attracting fairly senior people from agencies and brands. Typically they're pretty keen cyclists, but everywhere on the spectrum from commuters to the type found bombing around Box Hill in lycra at 6am every Sunday.

Bring a team, bring a colleague or your clients - and meet new people along the way.

Leaving the capital behind us, we will weave our way through south London's suburbs to the hustle and bustle of Brighton where we will stop for the night.

Our second morning begins with a quick cycle to Newhaven where we will catch the ferry to Dieppe. Our first miles on French soil will lead us to the pretty town of Gournay-en-Bray where we will recharge for the night.

Waking up bright and early in France, we will begin our final day by coursing through the countryside before finishing with a memorable ride along the river Seine up to the iconic Eiffel Tower.
