Overview

Econsultancy's GDPR webinar looks at Europe's data privacy overhaul and its implications for American businesses in particular. With an American audience in mind (though useful and informative for Europeans and Brits as well), Stefan Tornquist, VP of Research at Econsultancy, and Alan Chapell, Lead Attorney and President at Chapell Associates, will discuss:

  • GDPR for Financial Services, including best practices around encryption in data transference and what data brokers should do with 'mixed bags' of data;
  • How and when to keep PII
  • How regulators operate
  • General rules for navigating our new data regulated world

This event will be hosted by Econsultancy's VP of Research, Stefan Tornquist, and Alan Chapell. Alan is the President of Chapell & Associates, a firm that helps adtech companies build customer trust through responsible privacy practices. Chapell founded Chapell & Associates in 2003. Since then, his firm has helped over 100 media and technology companies craft their privacy and data strategy. He was appointed as privacy ombudsman by the U.S. Trustees Office in many of the largest bankruptcy cases in our nation's history; including General Motors and Chrysler.

Stefan has been at the leading edges of digital marketing for over 15 years. He manages all of Econsultancy's research activities in the Americas, as well as maintaining an active writing and speaking schedule. Stefan has led over 100 research studies for brands including Google, Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, Oracle, and many others.
