Global Media, the parent company of UK digital marketing agency Bigmouthmedia, has acquired South Korean search engine marketing provider Namu Communications.
Global Media hopes the move will boost its position in Asia market, acquiring 613 of Namu’s clients along with the deal.
Namu Communications is South Korea’s third biggest search marketing and keyword advertising provider.
It belongs to Daum Communications, South Korea’s second largest portal operator, which acquired Lycos for £48m in 2004.
According to Global Media CEO Steve Leach:
“Namu Communications’ customers are well taken care of here at Global Media. With our office in Seoul, where we employee local experts, we bring along optimal prerequisites for a qualitatively high-grade customer service.”
Global Media acquired Bigmouthmedia in a £40m deal back in December.
