Shopping comparison site mysupermarket.co.uk has introduced a useful-looking new feature which allows customers to book their delivery slots before starting their shopping.

Users can choose from a range of one hour slots, view costs and book one in advance. Mysupermarket says the service has been introduced in response to growing demand from shoppers using the site.

Launched back in October 2006, mysupermarket allows customers to compare prices between four different supermarkets; Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda and Ocado.

After inputting your postcode, it identifies the supermarkets which can deliver to you, and you can then start shopping with your supermarket of choice.

The site shows any discounts or special offers the supermarket has on offer, while at the top of the screen it keeps a tally of how much you have spent and provides a comparison with the prices from the three other supermarkets.

Once you have filled your trolley, you are transferred to the checkout of whichever supermarket’s site you have chosen, where you can complete your purchase.

I’m not a fan of the colour scheme, but the site in general works well, is simple and quick to use, and provides a very good method of saving money on your grocery shopping.
