Online men’s magazine Blokely has relaunched with a bold design and simple headlines. Clear signposting and engaging imagery encourages browsing, with content filed in categories like grooming, style, sport, entertainment and current affairs. It’s varied, featuring columns from cricket player Ryan Sidebottom, rugby’s Olly Barkley and comedian Josh Howie, as well as reviews, a fortnightly debate feature and a ’Stateside’ column.

The publication aims to generate a “conversational core at the heart of the site”, with comment sections and prominent ’Spread the word’ and ’Join the ride’ panels inviting you to engage. While comments are few, Blokely updates its social media feeds regularly.

Crucially, the site has a consistent and humorous tone, which creates a sense of affinity between magazine and readers. Blokely could develop monetisation, with more innovative links to suppliers in the grooming and style sections, for example.
