Adconion Media Group has appointed Smartclip co-founder Thomas Falk to its board following its acquisition of the video ad network.
Falk was previously EMEA president at DoubleClick before founding eValue Group and Smartclip, which sells inventory across publishers such as Telegraph Media Group and News International.
As part of the acquisition earlier this month (nma.co.uk 8 November 2011), Adconion said it would leverage Smartclip’s technology, which standardises video ad formats to run across multiple devices, alongside its other brands – online video content distribution arm Joost and branded entertainment content provider RedLever.
Neil Sunderland, chairman of Adconion Media Group, said, “Thomas’ appointment reinforces our intention to strengthen Adconion’s position in building the largest global multi-channel digital distribution platform.”
