Arsenal and England footballer Jack Wilshere is to front an online campaign for first aid charity St John Ambulance.
Wilshere will appear in five online movie shorts, which will appear on the St John Ambulance Facebook page, demonstrating basic first aid skills.
The promotional movies prompt viewers to text the phrase “LIFE” to the shortcode 85010 to receive a free mobile first aid guide and are aimed at raising awareness of the skills among football audiences.
Sue Killen, St John Ambulance CEO, said, “Up to 150,000 people die each year when basic first aid could have been the difference. Research shows that we can’t rely on other people to have these skills – everyone should take the responsibility to learn first aid themselves.”
