Scottish animal protection charity Advocates for Animals is to launch a digital campaign to gain public support and lobby Scottish MPs ahead of a bill on the use of snares.

The appeal will target Scottish MPs in the run-up to a vote on the Wildlife and Natural Environment Bill in the Scottish Parliament planned for late 2010.

Advocates for Animals, established in 1911, has a primary aim to build a base of supporters who want to see improvements in the treatent of animals in all areas of life. Its OneKind campaign looks to build public engagement in challenging lifestyle, attitudes and behaviour.
