Buongiorno Vitaminic, leading European company in the market of multimedia content, signed a partnership with ESMAS, the company that manages Televisa Group interactive services. Televisa is the leader media group in all Spanish mother tongue countries and the international leader in the entertainment industry with revenues amounting to 23,000 million pesos in 2003.
Under the deal, Buongiorno Vitaminic will manage all the mobile communication for the Televisa Group media, from SMS voting for television programmes, to television chat and Internet portals. Furthermore, Buongiorno Vitaminic will distribute and sell ringtones, logos, screensavers and Java games, together with provision of news and economic information via SMS. The agreement permits Televisa to leverage on Buongiorno Vitaminic knowledge and services via mobile, many of them will be given in exclusive to the Mexican company.
In addition, Buongiorno Vitaminic will provide Televisa with its expertise in delivering and offering interactive mobile services, and also its know-how for the creation and positioning of products and contents for mobile phones, CRM and management of databases of clients.

In order to roll out its business in Mexico and to guarantee the necessary attention to the recently signed partnership, Buongiorno Vitaminic decided to open a new office in Mexico City, and to constitute Buongiorno MyAlert Srl. The new company, controlled by Buongiorno Vitaminic Group, will start its activities from this week under the direction of Fernando Mesones, Managing Director of Buongiorno MyAlert in Spain.
"The opening of the Mexico subsidiary allows Buongiorno Vitaminic to enter the growing mobile Mexican market, which is worth 60 million US dollars, targeting about 30 million local mobile phone users. Our objective is to reach revenues of ¤3 million in Mexico by the end of this year, with the Ebitda break even," added Mr Casalini.
"The launch of the activities in Mexico has to be considered as a first step to spread Buongiorno Vitaminic offering in all the South America countries, with the support of the Spanish Buongiorno MyAlert, which already has content in Spanish and could support with a small expense the operations in Latin America."
Contents distributed with Televisa are part of the huge catalogue that of Buongiorno Vitaminic distributes with a multichannel strategy, including partnerships with telco companies and with the most important media groups. Buongiorno Vitaminic’s catalogue is made up by a variety of licensed contents, including the South Park cartoon characters from MTV Networks International, GrandPrix sports news, Garfield (the famous American cat from Paws), and 400,000 music tracks, thanks to agreements with 1,500 record companies.
