***Site Confidence revenues double in 2003/04 fiscal year - Top UK website performance monitoring company clinches deals with Marks and Spencer, and Virgin Radio***

Site Confidence, the UK’s top web performance monitoring company, has today announced a clutch of high-profile contract wins that conclude a year of exceptional growth. Companies such as Trailfinders, BMW and Yell, have appointed Site Confidence to monitor their online presence - keeping a 24-hour eye on the speed, performance and accuracy of their web sites. As a result of business growth – average revenue per existing customer was up 19% on the previous year – and new business wins, Site Confidence doubled its turnover year-on-year from 2003 to 2004 to well in excess of £1m.

The recent wins consolidate Site Confidence’s increasing dominance of the UK web site performance monitoring marketplace. Diverse names from a range of industries such as The Met Office and Carphone Warehouse reflect increasing awareness of the importance of ensuring 100% uptime, whether a site is transactional or an information source. Founded in 2001, Site Confidence has grown steadily since launch and now monitors the web sites of over 300 blue-chip companies. It reached profitability at the end of 2003 and counts household names such as John Lewis, Autotrader, First Choice and Norwich Union amongst its long-term customers.

Bill Kirkwood, CEO of Site Confidence, commented: “This year has outstripped our expectations, firmly establishing us as number one in our market. Winning these significant deals has cemented the achievements of 2003, and proves the importance of a smooth-running, fault-free web site for the UK’s leading businesses. I am extremely proud of the team and all of its contributions to this success, and look forward to continued and sustained growth throughout the next twelve months.”

Site Confidence uses specialist software developed in-house that tests a website in exactly the same way a user would approach and use a website. From clicking through links to measuring page download times and discovering missing images, anything that could go wrong is monitored and tested at regular intervals using separate systems to eliminate any possible third-party problems. Using these methods Site Confidence can also identify and isolate the root of the issue, be it a hosting company or a large image and immediately inform the client, minimising downtime and loss of revenues.
