County Durham based SportNetwork.net is now powered by Alienware computers thanks to a contra deal with the high-performance PC manufacturer.

Based in Athlone, Ireland, Alienware offers its unique brand of high performance desktop and notebook computers exclusively via the web.

SportNetwork is achieving more than 8 million page impressions every month and has an exceptionally strong rugby community.

Mat Bettinson, Marketing Manager at Alienware says: "We have provided the SportNetwork team with their computing power and in return we will have an opportunity to target their very loyal community. We are specially interested in the demographics provided by the rugby supporters who are likely to be more interested in top of the range hardware like Alienware."

John Wards, SportNetwork development manager says: " We are continuing to grow every month and that places demands on our staff who need the very best equipment. Our deal with Alienware provides us with some superb tools to do the job."
