Full-service digital agency Ai London has completed a dedicated microsite for Teleport, the new TV-on-demand service from Telewest. The new site makes extensive use of video and audio and will promote the new service, which gives customers access to a library of hundreds of films and TV programmes through their existing set-top box. The site will launch on Monday 24 October.

Ai was responsible for all aspects of the site, from concept and creative through to design and build, with the project taking a total of six weeks to complete. The three core areas of the service – ‘movies’, ‘TV’ and ‘replay’ – are reflected by the three main areas of the site, each selling the benefits of the service, with a clear call to action on every page to help drive new subscriptions. There is an array of striking animations throughout the site and the user is guided through each section being presented with a demonstration of the interface showing how the service works.

Ai has also created banners, skyscrapers and MPUs for an online advertising campaign to drive customers to the site, as well as rich media overlays to appear on the Radio Times website and tvguide.co.uk over the coming months.

The microsite ties in with Telewest’s new advertising campaign, which will centre around online and offline advertising for Teleport, including direct marketing, mailshots, press advertising and posters.

Ken Frakes, managing director at Ai London, commented, “The microsite we’ve created puts the entire Teleport offering into context, and allows users to experience the benefits of the service first-hand. We’re hoping that once users take a look at what’s on offer, they won’t be able to leave the website without signing up to Teleport first!”
