Nitro today announced it has acquired a majority share of creative digital agency Mook for an undisclosed sum.

Mook whose clients include the BBC, PlayStation, Reuters, News International and Sport England will continue to trade under its own strong brand name.

The Mook team though will be housed alongside Nitro’s above and below the line operation in new offices in Covent Garden.

Chris Clarke, Nitro’s founder said: ‘Our aim has always been to create a world class, genuinely integrated offering. Mook is one of the most exciting digital agencies around and we are delighted to welcome them to the Nitro family’

Tom Adams, MD and co-founder of Mook said: ‘We have always held the view that truly integrated advertising depends on specialists sharing their skills under one roof. After five years of independence, this is a logical step that will help us pursue our ambitious expansion plans in the UK and give us access to other Nitro markets and clients. These are exciting times for Digital and Nitro is incredibly well placed to help us explore the channel’s potential.’

Bruce Crouch joint ECD and MD OF Nitro UK said: ‘Digital was always high on our list of priorities. Since we identified Mook their creative and new business record has been excellent, culminating in some exciting new wins. We can now genuinely offer above and below the line and Digital under one roof’
