Search marketing agency Spannerworks has made the finals of the 2006 Revolution Awards for ’Best use of Search,’ based on the success of an international search marketing campaign for SN Brussels Airlines (SNBA).

The Belgian full-service airline ran a rigorous European wide selection process before choosing to partner with Spannerworks in April 2005. Since then, the agency’s search strategy has resulted in a dramatic 420% increase in bookings from Google and the other major search engine’s paid and natural listings.

The multi-lingual campaign targeted seven European sites and overcame cultural and language challenges. The high search engine visibility, increased visits and bookings driven through SNBA’s portfolio of sites led to a 26:1 return on their investment.

Delighted at reaching the finals, Audrey Benoit, eQuality & Performance manager at SNBA comments, “I’d like to congratulate Spannerworks for the fantastic results the campaign has generated. Our return on investment is proof that we chose the right search agency to partner with and we are pleased to share our success with them.”

Launched nine years ago, the Revolution awards celebrate achievements in digital channels for business and marketing. Other categories include ‘Best online advertising’ and ‘Best brand-building using digital channels.’ All winners will be announced at next week’s award ceremony in London on Friday 17th March.
