Mobile specialist The Bigger Picture pens an operating contract with Amazon to provide the world’s first purchase and rental Mobile WAP DVD store.

• The Bigger Picture ( ) has signed an operating contract with Amazon to provide the world’s first purchase and rental mobile DVD store. Amazon has over 8 Million registered credit card users in the UK alone, these customers will now instantly be able to buy & rent DVD products via a ‘browse and buy’ wap service without having to re-register their credit card details.

• The Bigger Picture has reserved new dedicated 7-Digit shortcodes for special ‘off-handset’ purchases with all operators in the UK. Once fully integrated we will be able to re-brand and re-sell DVD catalogues providing Amazon, Media Companies and Film Studios extra revenues from mobile DVD sales and rentals. Mobile orders are fed straight back to Amazon’s database for next day customer delivery. TBP Mobile is in talks with Vodafone Group Global, 3 and international I-mode operators for an on-portal presence for this revolutionary new service.

This latest big brand signing and unique mobile store will only strengthen The Bigger Picture’s Bluelabel end-to-end mobile solution we provide for our clients, media partners and now looking to push out to Major Hollywood Film Studios.

The Bigger Picture ( ) works with the leading WAP developers in the country and the minds behind Ebay Anywhere, Channel Four and Reuters Mobile sites. In 2005, The Bigger Picture joined forces with Turnon Technology to launch a powerful new version of S-A-R-A PLATFORM (Smart Asset Rendering Agent ) which enables users to render device specific mobile content from a device neutral language. The most recently developed S-A-R-A Platform can cope with all the current phone mark-up types (WML, XHTML, XHTML, MP and iMODE/cHTML) whilst delivering device specific mobile media. The latest patent pending Customer Management System means our customers can upload a .wav or .mpeg file for it to be automatically formatted and downloaded in all ringtone and video formats per handset type.

Furthermore, The Bigger Picture ( ) in February 2006 signed a contract with Ericsson to help distribute content and WAP sites through their international mobility offices and help provide technical and WAP exchange backend programming. The launch of this Bluelabel end-to-end mobile solution with Ericsson provides a complete mobile store creating integrated billing with more than 23 operators worldwide, 13 via ‘one-click’ WAP billing. This provides us with a reach of more than half a billion mobile subscribers in 20 countries around the world, with new markets being added continuously.

Tim Burke, Mobile Operations Commercial Director, The Bigger Picture, says: “We are delighted to be working with Ericsson and Amazon, with our technical expertise and revolutionary mobile solutions we are proud to sign these contacts and offer Amazon a significant presence in the global mobile space.”

Anna Withers, Brand Marketing and PR, The Bigger Picture, added: “We feel these brands choose to partner with The Bigger Picture as we can focus our energy and resources to drive these companies new revenue streams. Rather than having a large portfolio of clients and become stretched and inadequate we prefer to be selective so we can offer our partners the very best customer service, marketing strategies and support 24hours a day.
