London, Earls Court 2, 9-11 May 2006 – Seekport, the innovative European search technology provider, will be attending Internet World to demonstrate the strength and relevance of its white-labeled search technology, using existing high profile clients such as IDG, Lastminute.com and Touch Group as examples.

Seekport will be showcasing its reliable, high performance search portal solution which provides clients with a flexible search capability across their own site and archives, and the Web. Clients often choose to have search results from their own site and the web, along with sponsored links aggregated into a single results page.

Seekport also has strong customised vertical search capability which weights the search results according to the client's particular requirements. This means that if the user searches on a particular term that could have many different meanings and contexts, only the results which are specifically relevant to the client's market will be displayed. This is achieved by Seekport’s technical team which works closely with clients to understand their lexicon and terminology.

For example, Seekport recently delivered a search solution for Touch Briefings to deploy across its 40 vertical market sites covering a range of specialist areas such as biotechnology and healthcare. Seekport provided the client with a back-end administration interface which allows them to create their own ‘channel definitions’ for the search feature, to control how the results are weighted for each of the sites.
