The third annual Customer Engagement Survey has this week gone live, with companies invited to complete the questionnaire in return for a free copy of the report.

This year, the survey has been translated into Chinese, Greek and Spanish in an attempt to make the research as global as possible.

The research, published by E-consultancy in association with digital agency cScape, has established itself as an important barometer of how organisations are relating to their customers in a rapidly changing digital environment.

Richard Sedley, Customer Engagement Director at cScape, said: “We are really excited about having this survey translated into three additional languages. We are working with partners in different countries so that the research reaches as many people as possible.”

As usual, those who take part in the survey will get a free, advanced, copy of the report before it is published on the E-consultancy website later this year.

This year’s research will focus on strategies and tactics for effective customer engagement, as well as the impact of the credit crunch and economic downturn.

Last year’s research found that brands were taking online customer engagement much more seriously than before, with three-quarters of companies surveyed (77%) saying that its importance had increased over the previous 12 months.
