London, 5 July 2006 – Screen Pages, the online retail service provider, today announced a partnership agreement with global network and managed hosting provider, NTT Communications, to enhance the e-commerce services it provides to retail and mail order businesses. Customers already using the hosting service include Extreme Pie, Thorntons, The Natural World and Crew Clothing among many others, representing combined monthly online revenues of over £5 million, from 1.5 million plus visitors.

The continuing growth of the Internet as a retail sales channel was recently highlighted when IMRG, the leading industry body for global e-retail, issued its May 2006 survey suggesting that over 45 per cent of its respondents are planning to increase their online spending in 2006. The figures also showed that £30 billion of retail spending is now online.

Screen Pages (http://www.screenpages.com), an e-commerce retail specialist, has witnessed the growth of the online channel first hand, and now runs over 70 e-commerce sites.

“Our clients are looking for a complete e-commerce solution from design and build to the hosting and ongoing management of their website. As many of them are often transacting in excess of 20% of their sales online, the importance of a reliable and scaleable underlying web infrastructure should not be under estimated,” states Roger Willcocks, Managing Director of Screen Pages.

“Historically, we ran our hosting services in-house however, as demand grew, we decided to partner with an established managed hosting provider to optimise the performance, availability and security of our clients’ websites. NTT Communications’ high service levels, flexible platform and ability to scale quickly made it an ideal partner for us.”

Screen Pages is providing a range of hosting services depending on its clients needs including dedicated and shared managed server and security solutions with 24x7x365 monitoring and support.
Damian Skendrovic, UK Regional Director for the hosting arm of NTT Communications, added:

“As online retail continues to expand rapidly, Screen Pages unique set of services enables it to offer businesses the end-to-end e-commerce solutions they need. The services NTT Communications provides is a vital element of this and it is by working with dynamic partners such as Screen Pages that we can bring our offering to a wider, more diverse, client base.”
