Rapid growth of Utarget plc is strengthened with second senior appointment

Strengthened by the seven-figure sale of its media website, 50Connect, Utarget plc consolidates its position and stimulates further growth with the appointment of a new sales manager, Rob Edwards.

Edwards will be responsible for driving sales of Utarget’s newly launched UTVsubs network. UTVsubs is the UK’s first online TV advertising network and kicks off this week with a campaign for Ocean Finance which will run on itv.com.

Edwards, former head of the new business development department of SIRS, and more recently, business development manager at Saltmine, joins David Michael as the second member of the Utarget management team to be recruited within the last two months.

Phil Cooper, managing director of Utarget, comments: “Rob’s track record of expanding sales in the radio industry will be invaluable to this new venture. UTVsubs is pioneering new business in an area which has not yet been tapped into and I am very pleased to have Rob onboard to shake up the industry.”

Edwards comments, “As sales manager for UTVsubs I will be responsible for growing this new area of business. As a first to the UK, UTVsubs has enormous potential and I look forward to building on this and generating sales for Utarget.”

Established in 1998, Utarget plc and its divisions, Utarget Media and Utarget Networks provide advertisers and their agencies with distinctive and unique online advertising propositions via their owned and externally managed networks, ad technology and media to deliver web advertising opportunities.
