Ipoints.co.uk, the UK’s biggest online coalition loyalty programme, has joined forces with the Daily Mirror to create a major promotion which will enable the newspaper to collect contact details of its readers, and for ipoints to tap into the Daily Mirror’s huge readership to recruit new members to its loyalty scheme.

With this promotion, visitors to www.mirror.co.uk are being given the chance to enter a prize draw to win one of five DBV USB TV Tuners – a fantastic gadget which will enable them to stay in touch with the goings on in the Big Brother House or on Love Island (or whatever else they love on TV) by turning their PC or laptop into a high-resolution digital TV. The clever device plugs into a computer’s USB port and allows you to watch and record free-to-air digital terrestrial TV, pause live TV and continue where you left off, plus to enjoy digital terrestrial radio at near-CD quality.

The campaign is launching this week and will run until the end of August. To enter the prize draw visitors need to complete a simple form where they will be given the opportunity to opt into the ipoints loyalty scheme and collect ipoints to redeem for great gifts from the ipoints reward catalogue, such as DVDs, CDs, books, holidays and sky-diving lessons. They also have the chance to opt in to receiving the Daily Mirror eNewsletter which provides them daily with top news stories plus games, competitions and much more.

Says Geraldine Tosh, Managing Director at ipoints.co.uk, “This campaign is building on the success of a previous campaign we carried out with Mirror readers where people were rewarded with a Free Curry Meal, simply for signing up to ipoints. This drove large numbers of high quality new members to us, so we know that the ipoints proposition appeals to Mirror readers and are hoping to repeat this success.”

Danielle West, Digital Marketing Executive at the Daily Mirror, adds, “This campaign is an ideal route to enable us to collect reader’s personal details which we can use to drive relationship building communications. We like to give our readers something back for their loyalty, and this campaign provides two rewards – the chance to win these great DBV USB TV Tuners, plus the opportunity to earn gifts for themselves, or to give to loved ones, just by shopping through ipoints.”

Ipoints will be hosting the data collection and incorporating the data into a database for the Mirror to use within its direct marketing programmes.
