Leading retailers leveraging Scene7 for their Rich Media, Content
Management and Content Delivery

NOVATO, CA — August 31, 2006 — Scene7® today announced that Internet Retailer reported Scene7 as the most used rich media provider to its Top 500 list of online retailers. Internet Retailer’s definitive ranking and analysis of America's 500 largest e-retailers is based on annual 2005 Internet sales, researched by Internet Retailer and confirmed by retailers. This report includes company financial, operational and performance data, as well as vendors in 16 key categories. In addition to being named the top rich media provider, Scene7 was also acknowledged as a leader in content management and content delivery. Scene7 is utilized by hundreds of the Top 500 and has a global client base that spans all industries including retail, manufacturing, services, government and non-profit organizations.

“Internet Retailer’s analysis and reporting is the only one of its kind in online retailing and provides an important resource for the industry as it continues to grow,” said Doug Mack, CEO of Scene7. “The acknowledgement of Scene7 as the top rich media vendor to the top online retailers, as well as a leading content management and content delivery solution, is an honor and a validation of our scalable, on-demand platform that can drive immediate ROI from both a revenue and an operational cost-saving standpoint.”

In its third year of publication, the 2006 edition of the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites was expanded from 400 to 500 e-retailers. The 16 vendor categories listed are solution areas deemed essential to the success of online retailers. This year is the first time the magazine has analyzed and ranked the top providers in these categories. “We have included these 16 categories in past guides because we believe that retailers want to know the vendors being used by leaders across all industries,” stated Kurt Peters, Editor in Chief of Internet Retailer. “The overwhelmingly positive response to our Top 500 Guide prompted us this year to rank the vendors as a means to further extend the research and value of the Guide.”

The top providers in each area were determined based on data Internet Retailer validates by asking retailers, searching Internet Retailer’s archives for what has been reported, checking vendor Web sites, verifying information with vendors and sending complete listings back to retailers for final confirmation.

“More online retailers are using richer content on their sites, which is the result of the spread of broadband into the home,” Peters added. “That allows retailers to do things they would not have thought about before.”

“Being able to offer our customers enhanced visualization and rich Internet applications to improve their online shopping experiences were driving factors for implementing Scene7,” said Bob Myers, Senior Vice President at QVC. “Scene7’s broad platform delivers both back-office and consumer facing solutions to meet our increasing use of rich content.”
