ALTON, September 26, 2006 - Mirago plc, a European provider of search and media related products has announced the creation of a new division called Mirago Technology. The division is tasked with delivering fully branded, managed and hosted white label versions of its media technology products to the online media industry. These products are aimed at online media owners looking to protect their valuable online assets against the significant threat posed by the established search giants.

By integrating products such as Mirago White Label Pay-Per-Click (PPC) or Context Stream® Theme Analysis into their own properties, online media owners can offer their existing advertisers advanced advertising options. By doing so, the need to partner with the major search engines and share valuable website real estate with them is removed.

The division’s flagship product is White Label Pay-Per-Click. This product is a fully customised version of Mirago’s established and highly successful Featured Sites PPC product. The white label version is ideal for online media owners looking to maximise the return from their advertiser base and offer them performance based advertising. The product boasts all of the leading features that made Featured Sites such a success including Day Parting and Traffic Selection.

Context Stream® Theme Analysis provides online media owners with their own contextual advertising service. It works by determining the theme of individual pages on a website and delivers the theme back in a format that site owners can use to render relevant adverts from their advertiser base.

Additional products available include white label versions of Mirago’s Web Indexing products, Regional Search, Price Comparison Technology and Hosted Indexing. Hosted Indexing enables website owners to add an enhanced ‘Search this site’ facility to their website without having to display irrelevant results such as third party adverts.

Mirago will officially launch the new technology division at the ad:tech London show, hosted at Olympia 2 on September 27 – 28.
