ipoints.co.uk, the UK’s largest online coalition loyalty programme, is launching a major new campaign which will see the company giving away millions of free ipoints to members who shop online this Christmas. The aim of the ‘ Christmas ipoints Giveaway’ campaign is to encourage its members to carry out all their online Christmas shopping with ipoints’ loyalty partners and affiliates, including 101cd.com, sendit.com, prezzybox.com, greenfingers.com, Boots.com, amazon.co.uk, comet.co.uk and Debenhams.com, Johnlewis.com, Marksandspencer.com and many more top retailers.

All members that spend more than £50 between November and 31st December 2006 will automatically qualify for the ipoints bonus. Those spending over £125 will get an even greater bonus. On receiving these points members will then be able to redeemed for a number of different rewards such as blockbuster vouchers, USB mobile phone chargers, ipods, CDs, LCD TVs and more.

Roz Brown, ipoints Member Communications Manager comments, “This is our biggest ever ipoints giveaway promotion to date and we are very excited and looking forward to rewarding our members that bit more over the Christmas period. We already make Christmas shopping easy by bringing together so many fantastic names via our website and giving great value back to customers. However, by giving members the chance to earn extra bonus ipoints– in addition to the ipoints they earn anyway when shopping via ipoints.co.uk - we anticipate driving significant traffic to our partner and affiliate websites.”

To launch the campaign, ipoints will be sending out an initial email to over 1 million ipoints members. Throughout November and December, it will then be broadcasting several million more emails, with over 20 email campaigns focusing on different popular Christmas gift areas, such as games and consoles, CDs and DVDs, health and beauty, mobile phones, and food and drink.

The targeting for each email campaign will be based on behavioural analysis of ipoints members, to ensure that each recipient of the email will be highly qualified in terms of knowing that they have already bought products in the appropriate product categories or have visited websites selling that kind of product.

In addition, ipoints is launching its online ‘Gift Selector’ to help ipoints members that are stuck for ideas of what gifts they can buy for friends and relatives that already seem to have it all. This invaluable tool enables members to click on the type of person they’re having difficulty in choosing a gift for (e.g. mum, dad, granddad, gran etc) and provides a selection of the latest and most popular present for that person. Essentially ipoints has done the legwork for consumers to give them great ideas on what to buy, and where, making it simple for them to click through to the appropriate loyalty partners’ websites where they can buy and earn ipoints – what could be simpler!?

Roz Brown concludes, “This Christmas, ipoints.co,uk will have some of the best gifts and a huge variety of online partners to shop with on the web, so if consumers are going to be buying Christmas presents anyway, it makes sense for them to shop through ipoints and reward themselves at the same time as buying presents for others.
