dotMailer, one of the UK’s leading email marketing and user tracking suites, has released its latest software version. The upgrade is free to all existing users.

Expanded facilities include:

- A full link checker, to ensure that all links within generated emails are valid;
- Easier ways to manage the keyword tagging of links;
- An extensively expanded library of free email campaign templates for users, including a seasonal one to help with increased client activity in the run-up to Christmas.

This coincides with Tink Taylor, a director of the company, being co-opted to the Email Marketing Council of the Direct Marketing Association (DMA). The Council seeks to bring together industry bodies with a stake in developing the area of Email Marketing, addressing issues such as deliverability and spam.

Tink Taylor said: “Perhaps unusually for a web-based company, we spend a lot of time on the phone and face-to-face with our customers, giving anything from first-line support to strategic marketing advice. This gives us a real overview of what they need, and we reflect this in our programme of upgrades.”

dotMailer is the HTML email marketing and tracking system for businesses who are serious about analysing customer behaviour. It is able to track the responses of email recipients both in terms of what they do with the email and their subsequent path through the client website.

Its drag-and-drop interface allows non-programmers to design and send email campaigns, without restricting them to a prescriptive ‘wizard’.

Clients range from SMEs to large corporate organisations and not-for-profits.
