Simon Green appointed to new role of Director of Database, Strategy and Data Services

LONDON and LEXINGTON, Mass., January 3, 2007 – e-Dialog, provider of advanced e-mail marketing services, today announced the appointment of Simon Green to the newly created key role of Director of Database, Strategy and Data Services.

Green brings to e-Dialog fifteen years of best-of-breed international strategy and marketing credentials with expertise across a range of sectors. He has helped grow customer value and profitability for some of the world’s leading brands, including Citibank, British Airways, Star Alliance, Qantas and IBM.

Reporting to UK managing director Simone Barratt, Green will apply his database and strategic on- and offline brand marketing expertise to lead highly targeted, next-generation multi-channel communication programmes that create maximum value and long-term customer relationships for e-Dialog’s clients.

Before joining e-Dialog, Green ran 3RM Strategic Marketing, working with integrated direct marketing agencies. Recent projects included developing and directing marketing strategy – value proposition development and communications integrated with future technology – as part of two, 10-year government license renewal bids. Earlier, he was responsible for taking the award-winning Qantas Frequent Flyer communications online.

Commenting on Green’s appointment Simone Barratt said, “Simon is a hugely talented customer relationship marketer and we look forward to drawing on his expertise to help our clients maximise long-term customer value with contextually targeted communications. And as a valued member of the UK leadership team he will play an important role in helping to shape the next dynamic phase of the company’s development.”

Prior to running 3RM, Green was CRM Strategy Director at DDB Rapp Collins, Sydney, where he developed a customer acquisition and development programme for AUSTAR entertainment that increased market capitalisation by 300 percent. At Ogilvy & Mather, Sydney, Green managed the start-up of its Dataconsult consultancy. Prior to that in the UK he was a Product Manager at British Telecom Plc. and held a variety of positions within British Airways Plc., including Assistant Brand Manager, Europe; Financial Analyst and Systems Analyst. Green is a graduate of the University of York with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM).

Commenting on his appointment Green said, “Right now we’re seeing an exciting second wave in the development of digital communications. I’m very excited to be joining a company that is at the forefront of the industry helping marketers harness the power of technology with highly targeted e-mail communications that add value and connect brands with consumers.”
