Working with interactive agency Cimex, GoSkills has launched a new website providing essential information for the passenger transport sector.

Passenger transport is crucial to the economic and social well-being of the UK, providing approximately 800,000 jobs and contributing over £30 billion to the UK economy (3% of GDP).

GoSkills is the Sector Skills Council (SSC) for this sector. Its aim is to be the recognised authority for businesses working in the UK passenger transport sector that are experiencing problems such as employee recruitment and retention, increasing skills shortages and identifying specific training solutions.

Cimex collaborated with the council to provide a one stop shop for skills, learning and training related issues in the sector.

The agency built a resourceful site incorporating a tab structure into the different industries from aviation to mini-cabs; a fresh design look and feel and a clean and simple content management system that is user-friendly and easy to maintain.

The site uses a clear navigation structure which allows for easy and intuitive movement, and provides focused content. The site also features a shopping basket option allowing users to order GoSkills’ products and services online.
The council supports Aviation, Bus, Coach, Taxi and Private Hire, Community Transport, Rail, Trams, Driver Training, and Transport Planning.

“We are delighted with our new website,” comments Peter Huntington, CEO: GoSkills. “Cimex was able to interpret our business objectives and user requirements to deliver a cost-effective solution that is both engaging and resourceful.”
