-- Zeus highlights that its innovation and vision is building momentum in the Web and Application Traffic Management market --

CAMBRIDGE, UK, 08 May 2007 – Zeus Technology today announced it has been positioned by leading analyst firm Gartner in the “Visionaries” quadrant of its Magic Quadrant for Application Delivery Controllers 2006 report .

This report analyzes the ability of vendors around the globe to solve the most pressing application challenges within the enterprise, focusing on products that improve the delivery of application software over networks while remaining dynamic and innovative.

Paul Di Leo, CEO at Zeus Technology said: "2006 was a landmark year for Zeus. Not only did we expand into the global market, including the US and many European countries, but we also expanded our product portfolio. The launch of our virtualized application traffic manager (ZXTM VA), the only virtualized solution available as software within the application delivery market, has really solidified our relationship with partners such as VMware, our position within the market and continues to provide our customers and partners further flexibility in the deployment of our ZXTM advanced deliver controller.

“We think being placed in the “Visionaries” quadrant by Gartner proves that by constantly innovating and improving our technology we are providing reliability and security to web-enabled businesses around the world, giving customers a seamless online experience. We look forward to further success in 2007, when we plan to increase our channel and geographical presence and partnerships."

Zeus' flagship product, ZXTM (Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager), is a next-generation layer 7 load-balancing and application traffic management solution. Through its security, optimization and management capabilities, ZXTM gives businesses centralized control and resilience to applications, providing swift and seamless interaction between web-enabled application services. ZXTM is capable of delivering rich features and high performance, while its software-based approach means it can be deployed on off-the-shelf server hardware. Integration with VMware also enables Zeus to participate in automated datacenter provisioning and management.

ZXTM has won industry recognition during 2006 and 2007, including being honored as the top vendor in the ‘Best Software Product’ category at CMP Technology’s 2007 XChange Eastern Europe conference; being named one of IT Week’s ‘Top 50 Technology Innovators 2006’; being awarded ‘The Most Innovative Company of the Year’ at the annual NetEvents conference; and most recently, winning the Cambridge Computer Lab Ring ‘Best Product of the Year 2007’ award.
