Luxury British fashion brand Jaeger has launched online footage designed to give website visitors a true taste of its iconic style.

The unique video, to be developed into downloadable vodcasts, features exclusive clips taken straight from Jaeger’s catwalk shows, including behind the scenes footage from its popular in-store events. Created by digital agency Design UK, the vodcasts are just one of a serious of planned value-added features of Jaeger’s new ecommerce website, increasing interactivity with the brand.

Jaeger Online is divided into three main zones: womenswear, menswear and accessories. The easy-to-navigate and spacious site has been designed to reflect Jaeger’s luxury store layouts and allows the brand to showcase its trademark stunning photography, featuring a combination of advertising campaign and runway images.

The online store has made a significant contribution to the extension of Jaeger’s customer reach. It boasts more than 600 styles from the Jaeger, Jaeger London and Jaeger Black collections that appeal to a broad range of customers. Consumers logging onto the Jaeger site: can effortlessly browse the collections using the ‘Shop’, ‘Looks’ and ‘Magazine’ pages to seek out ‘must-have’ pieces for the season. Customers can also be kept up-to-date on Jaeger’s latest offers, promotions and events and register to receive regular style updates by email.

To develop a suitable site structure, Design UK has undertaken careful research into Jaeger’s customer buying behaviour by tracking the differing cognitive processes during stages of the buying process. It has also carried out usability and eyetracking studies to fine-tune page layouts.

The new website has been developed in LavaSuite, Design UK’s fully integrated online marketing platform. As well as ecommerce, LavaSuite includes easy-to-use content management and merchandising tools, email marketing and ready-to-use customer analytics from industry leader WebTrends.
