Webgains, the leading provider of affiliate marketing solutions, has appointed Melanie Hewitt to the new role of Head of Corporate Sales.

Ms Hewitt brings to Webgains over twelve years of media sales expertise as well as strong management skills. Prior to joining Webgains Hewitt worked as an Agency Sales and Supplement Manager for The Times newspaper managing key accounts such as the LVMH Group, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Unilever. During that period she has sold new sales initiatives, launched and managed The Sunday Times Style magazine and increased the revenues across both the Style magazine as well as The Times newspaper working with media agencies including Zenith, Carat and PHD.

Reporting to Webgains Managing Director, Robert Glasgow, Hewitt will be part of the management team and will apply her sales expertise to drive the UK’s corporate sales strategy.

Glasgow said: “Having Melanie on board is the first step in implementing additional muscle to the Webgains growth strategy, extending the focus to large corporate organisations and agencies. We believe that our combination of personalized customer service and pragmatic tools will add much value to how agencies perceive and manage affiliate campaigns”.

Ms Hewitt’s appointment is part of a wider strategy to boost the sales team and follows the appointments of Ms Emily Do and Mr. Robin Ward as Sales Executives.
